Rant-ish
10th already, huh. Had some in-real-life business to attend to. Also was planning to post yesterday, but power outage wasn't concerned about my plans.
I've finally finished the modular designs for all the animations. You wouldn't believe what difficulties that entailed. PGMMV sometimes makes me feel like I'm going insane. I assume from the testing done that there is some sort of rounding error, due to which timings of some specific animations can be 1 frame slower/faster that intended. That may sound trivial, but you most likely will notice it, if it happens often enough. So I've spent quite the amount of time minimizing this, and it's nearly perfect.
All that means is that I'm able to easily (relatively) add new animations in the game. Not the "drag and drop" easy, but this is going to be a blessing as the development goes.
Next I would like to make a sound and a text systems, for paizuri first.
My first two games actually same voice works, with the same seiyuu. I will now check the voice works I have and maybe introduce something new for the game.
And the text is going to be a horrible piece of work, I feel. From my last attempts at using the text feature in Paizuri Hazard I remember how... confusing it is to wrangle that.
