First of all, Happy New Year to everyone~
But BBQ is really not good at giving congratulatory messages, so I can only give everyone a simple greeting.
For those in Japan, you might want to check out the Chinese restaurants near your home, there might be limited-time dishes available~
Last year, when I was living in Kabukicho, I even got dumplings from a nearby restaurant.
Also, the Kabukicho RPG is currently applying for a preview page, but since today is the weekend, it'll probably be visible next week.
As we discussed before, let's have a casual chat about BBQ's daily schedule today:
In the morning, initially thinking about ero... no, first I need to check my email, Telegram, Discord, Line, Cien, Patreon, Steam...
After checking everything, if there's any need for correspondence, I'll send emails and messages.
Japanese prefer to communicate via email, and many social platforms (like Patreon, Steam) also use it, which makes the process quite slow.
Next, I'll think about what to eat today. If I need to go out to buy groceries, it will take about half an hour. Compared to when I lived in Kabukicho, meals were easier as it only took 5 minutes to go downstairs. Back then, there was a McDonald's 30 meters from my house and a Matsuya 50 meters away. Kabukicho love!
I'll also consider if there are any tax issues to deal with, usually after the 20th of the month. I need to organize various documents and receipts for the accountant, and sometimes meet with them to discuss the company's operations. Since starting the company, I often need to do accounting and consider tax issues, like how to save on taxes... Honestly, I wonder if I'm falling into a 'creative lethargy', where governments use various laws to restrict individuals, and people study the rules to gain small benefits to minimize their economic losses. This might be exactly what the rulers want to see.
Tired? If so, I'll take some supplements. Japanese supplements are cheap and effective, and I frequently restock them at drugstores.
I'll check the progress of various projects, like the post-production of ASMR audio, the script progress of the Priest RPG, ask the artists about the current state of the CGs, discuss future project plans with the planners, talk to the FPS programmers about the current game improvements, test the game, and occasionally coordinate with the map editor and modelers, etc... Communication is the most time-consuming part of my day. I remember once in 2023, I decided to go to bed at 8 pm, but ended up being busy till 4 am due to various coordination tasks...
I'll consider if there's any writing work I need to do, like articles for Cien/Patreon. Occasionally, I also handle website updates and respond to comments on cien/patreon/Steam.
I'll review my to-do list to ensure I haven't missed anything important for the day. Sometimes, I visit the osteopathic clinic for arm and neck treatments, mainly for my right hand, which has been in a critical state recently.
If my eyes hurt, I'll use eye drops and take a short break. During breaks, I sometimes dab two drops of the perfume I bought from the Ikebukuro Planetarium; one for myself and one to give to my sister later.
If I feel sleepy but can't sleep, I'll play MHW for a bit, fighting Fatalis or Velkhana just to wake myself up, then quit the game as it's just to keep me alert.
I'll continue working, using my remaining time to handle content for Kabukicho RPG. Fortunately, the content for Kabukicho is almost complete, but due to divided attention, I've been having some difficulty with text writing lately. Specifically, I get easily distracted.
When I feel I've worked enough, I'll consider taking a break or sort of meditate. I'll delete completed items from my to-do list and think about what I need to do tomorrow, what's urgent...
Oh, speaking of which, I was thinking about spring this morning, but it seems that after a day's work, that thought has faded. So, it's time to sleep – no, wait, I need to check my email, Telegram, Discord, Line, Cien, Patreon, Steam again before going to bed...
Here's BBQ, still suffering from the continuous headaches.
As previously mentioned, the doujinshi by our artist社會人, initially slated for release at Shanghai CP, has now been postponed and will instead debut at the Hangzhou Manga Expo on February 3rd.
The expo is named "Zhejiang Blue Archive Only", and 社會人will also be participating. If you're interested, you'll have the opportunity to interact with the teacher there~
By the way, Shanghai CP30 is said to be postponed until the Qingming Festival, which is... well, hosting a manga expo during Qingming is like being laid off during Labor Day.
Good evening~ This is BBQ, who has been delaying updates due to a headache.
Today, I bring you progress related to the Cleric RPG.
A few days ago, the recording of the cleric's voice was completed, and the recording of daily phrases in the game was also carried out.
So today, I'd like to share with you some content of the cleric's voice and CG screenshots. I hope you all will like them~
Happy New Year~ How did everyone spend their New Year?
As for me... I... I... I've been working all the time...
But don't worry, it wasn't just me, a few of my author friends were also working hard.
The audio editor guy had it the worst, working overnight on January 1st. At least I got to see the sunrise (although it was because of working through the night).
Anyway, to celebrate the full release of our first three works on Steam and the New Year, we are launching a week-long bundle discount on Steam! We also got the permission for trading cards for "Nebel" and "5 Days," and I will be working on these unique trading cards soon, hoping you all will like them.
As for other updates:
For "Kabukicho," we're just missing the introduction of H scenes, 2 sets of CGs, and some main storyline content and fun events. However, the events can be added gradually, and the main storyline is very short with almost no content. So, we are getting closer to completion.
The script for the second part of "Nebel" audio is almost done, and after circulating it internally, everyone is very satisfied.
The ending will surely amaze everyone~ At the same time, I plan to add a set of CGs as a gift in the audio for "Nebel" when it's released.
The recording for the "Priest" audio and some game voices will start in the next few days. I'm really happy that the voice actor has recovered from illness. It's 2024 now, but everyone still needs to be cautious about COVID-19~ (I can't forget how terrible I felt when "Nebel" was released...)
The second version of the model for our heroine in the FPS is completed. This model is mainly for R18 content and the later part of the game.
I'll give you a little preview.
I'm also planning to visit Kyoto soon. A special friend from Kyoto invited me for a meal, and I'm going to try Kaiseki cuisine to see if the rumored best cuisine in Japan is really that good (many of my Japanese friends haven't tried it). Additionally, I'm planning to visit shrines and temples to meet the Japanese fox sisters.
Friend: When you come, let's go for Kaiseki cuisine.
Me: Didn't you say it's not tasty?
Friend: Just because I don't like it, you have to try it!
Me: Alright then.
