In the comments, there was a question about "How do you do the character design? How do you decide what sprite size and proportions?"
First of all, I have never practiced or studied illustration properly. I started drawing pixel art after I decided to make a game. (so don't use it as a reference too much)
Of course, I don't have skills to draw high-resolution illustrations, so I want to make low-resolution pixel art as much as possible so that I can deceive my drawing skills and make it easier to create animations.
However, pixel art is also difficult, and techniques are required to draw erotic bodies and faces in small sizes. (I wonder why Mr. zell, who is famous as the creator of Forest of the Blue Skin, can draw facial expressions in such a small size.)
In the end, it's a good idea to refer to your favorite pixel artists and find the size that fits you. One of the good things about pixel art is that it's easy to use trial and error.
As a result of drawing various things for the time being, I found it easier to draw a little larger size than that of Forest of the Blue Skin, so I chose the current style.
For body proportions, except for the head, I don't deform much, and I sometimes draw characters while observing photos of actual women in swimsuits standing. I also drew the rabbit girl's motion based on images I found by googling words such as "スパイダー騎乗位" (spider cowgirl position). Boobs, buttocks and thighs can be puffed up later.
Another thing I have in mind is that I don't use too many outlines and anti-aliasing, and use solid, anime-style paint to simplify it.
Traces of trial and error from 3 to 4 years ago were excavated, so I will post them as a bonus. It's a little embarrassing, so it's limited to followers.
