サンバに出場する師匠 Master competing in the Samba Carnival
町おこしの夏祭りは大盛況の内に終わった。
聞くところによると隣の県からもこの祭りを見に来たお客さんもいた程だったらしい。
観光客たちの目当ては夜の湾内で行われる花火大会と、大通りで行われたサンバカーニバルだった。
そのサンバの主役だったのは、間違いなくこの人だった。
「おう正太郎、やっと来たか。待ちくたびれたぞ。」
サンバのパレードのゴール地点になっていた広場でコーラを飲んでいた師匠はテーブルにもたれかかりながら文句を言ってきた。
師匠がスタート地点に着替えを置き忘れて行ったのを届けにきてあげたのに…
小言を言いたいのをぐっと我慢して黙っている僕をよそに、師匠は終始ご機嫌だった。
「お前がもたもたしていたから色んな人に絡まれて大変だったのだぞ。生まれて初めてテレビの取材までされてしまったではないか。」
特に今年から開催されたサンバカーニバルは地元のテレビ局が取材に来ていた。そこでまさかこんなとびきりの肉体を惜しげもなく揺らして踊る美女がいたらそりゃ取材されるに決まってるよね…
「それ…、間違いなく夕方のニュースで流れると思いますよ。」
師匠が通りに現れたときの観客のあのどよめきと興奮はこの町の歴史に残るだろう。
その後に師匠に向けられた目とカメラの数は尋常ではなかった。
「そうか、ニュースに取り上げられるなら祭りを盛り上げるのにも一役買えただろう。これで町内会長さんへの義理は果たした。」
師匠はいかにも義理で出場したのだと言わんばかりだった。
それにしては彼女は滅茶滅茶ノリノリで踊っていたよね？サンバなんて踊った事ないくせに…
多分師匠は根っからのお祭り好きなんだろう。
それにしても…
このたまらない裸を沢山の人が見たのだと思うと、僕は胸の中がモヤモヤした。
「着替えてください！早く帰って稽古しましょう！」
僕は乱暴に着替えを師匠に押し付けて背を向ける。
「なんじゃ？珍しいな、いつになくやる気ではないか。」
師匠は笑っていた。
The town's summer festival was a great success.
According to some reports, there were even visitors from neighboring prefectures who came to see the festival.
The main attractions for the tourists were the fireworks display in the bay at night and the samba carnival on the main street.

The master was very much like saying that she had entered the competition out of duty.

I roughly push her change of clothes to my master and turn away.
