いてもたってもいられなくなった俺たちは糟那（かすな）高校へ向かっていた。
住宅街を抜け、高校のある交差点に出ると、そこにうちの高校のレスリング部主将がげっそりした顔で立っていた。
「あっ！おい！レスリング部！鮎原はどうした？」
そいつの肩を捕まえると、彼は鮎原の名にビクッと震えた。
「あ、鮎原はまだ…。俺はもう嫌だ…」
まるで全てから目を逸らすかのように彼は目を伏せる。その無責任な態度に俺は激昂した。
「まだって…、てめえ！鮎原を一人で残してきやがったのか！」
「だってあんな過酷なの…、俺…もう見てらんなくて！」
涙目で言い返してくる女々しさに俺は思わず彼を殴りそうになった。
しかしそれとは裏腹に俺の脳裏には無数の男たちの相手をさせられる鮎原の姿が浮かんでくる。妄想が止まらない。
その時…
「姐さん！今日は練習ありがとうございました！」
校門から野太い挨拶が聞こえてきて、俺たちは妄想から帰ってくることができた。
見るとレスリング着姿の男三人が深々と頭を下げている。鮎原がそれに手を振っていた。
「お前たちはタフだな。あんだけ扱いてやったのにまだ動けるんなんて、少し見直したぞ」
鮎原が感心したようにそう褒めると、男達は汗だくのまま再び頭を下げる。
「今度来ていただいた日には、姐さんの特訓に全員脱落せずについていけるよう精進します！」
「じゃ、またね！」
鮎原はご機嫌で彼らと別れた。
俺たちは恐る恐る彼女に話しかける。
「あの…、ヤンキー高校のレスリング部は大丈夫だった？」
鮎原は笑った。
「おう！不良が多いと聞いていたが、レスリング部は指導が行き届いているらしくてな、皆挨拶のできる好青年ばかりだったぞ」
そうなんだ…
だとすると、あんなことやこんなことって無かったんだろうな。
俺は安堵するのと同時になんだか残念な気持ちになって妄想を再び反芻するしかなかった。

Unable to sit still any longer, we headed toward Kasuna High School.
As we passed through the residential neighborhood and reached the intersection where the high school was located, the captain of our school’s wrestling team was standing there with a haggard look on his face.
“Ah! Hey! Wrestling team captain! Where’s Ayuhara?”
When I grabbed his shoulder, he flinched at the mention of Ayuhara’s name.
“Uh, Ayuhara isn’t here yet… I’ve had enough…”
He lowered his gaze, as if trying to look away from everything. His irresponsible attitude made me furious.
“‘Not here yet’… You bastard! Did you actually leave Ayuhara there all by herself?!”
“But it’s so brutal… I… I just couldn’t stand watching it anymore!”
His whiny retort, delivered with teary eyes, made me almost punch him on the spot.
But despite that, the image of Ayuhara being forced to face countless men kept flashing through my mind. I couldn’t stop fantasizing.
Just then…
“Big Sis! Thanks for the practice today!”
A booming greeting came from the school gate, snapping us out of our daydreams.
Looking over, we saw three guys in wrestling uniforms bowing deeply. Ayuhara was waving back at them.
“You guys are tough. “Even after I worked you that hard, you’re still able to move—I’ve got a bit more respect for you now.”
When Ayuhara praised them with an air of admiration, the guys, still drenched in sweat, bowed their heads once more.
“The next time you come by, we’ll train hard so none of us drop out of your special training, Big Sis!”
“Well, see you later!”
Ayuhara parted ways with them in high spirits.
We tentatively spoke up to her.
“Um… how did it go with the wrestling team at that rough high school?”
Ayuhara laughed.
“Oh! I’d heard there were a lot of troublemakers there, but it seems the wrestling team is well-disciplined—they were all polite, well-mannered young men who knew how to greet people.”
I see…
If that’s the case, I guess there wasn’t any of that kind of stuff after all.
As I felt relieved, I also felt a bit disappointed, and I had no choice but to dwell on my fantasies once again.
