This is the last part of the story where we talk about what made us decide to create "Victorians of the Twinkling Stars" and why we decided on this system in the first place.

I see more and more people from all over the world talking about how they were influenced by Japanese games and anime.
I am one of them, and the influence that games have had on the development of my personality is truly immeasurable.
The epic storylines, the sadness when a character dies, the sense of accomplishment when you defeat an enemy, the indescribable loneliness when you reach the ending of a game and say, "Oh, it's all over now. I am sure that I am not alone in wanting to see more of these characters in action, and I want to create a game that will make people feel that way and share it with the world.
This is the second concept.
With DL sales becoming mainstream, wonderful games are being delivered from Japan to the world and from the world to Japan. It is a bit presumptuous to say that we want to be one of them, but at least we have put all the respect and appreciation we have for Japanese games and Japanese RPGs into our work.

In terms of erotic mania, I think there are many works that are more elaborate than this one.
This work does not have the same level of animation as this one.

This is the second of a three-part series on how we came up with the idea of creating "Victorians of the Twinkling Stars" and why we chose this system in the first place before the release.

In the first installment, we aimed to make the game 100 points even if the H-scene is removed, and to make it 200 or 300 points in attractiveness by adding eroticism to it.
I mentioned that we started the project with this as one of our guiding principles.
First of all, to make a game that we think is "interesting
However, we are well aware that even if we say a game scores 100 points, it is not possible to give it a uniform score because the evaluation criteria vary depending on the person who watches or plays not only games but also animations, dramas, movies, and novels.
When I thought about where I should set an ideal score, I thought back to the games I have played in the past.
I know this is a bit of a personal story,
I love RPGs from the 90's, action RPGs from the recent PS4 and 5, and eroge from the 2000's when it was at its peak, and I thought back a bit to see what elements I liked about each.

I realized that these were the points that stuck out for me.
When I combined this with the ideas that I had after the last production, I came up with the idea of
(1) More heroines with high life-size than in the previous work
(2) Provide episodes and attractive sex scenes for each of them.
(3) Create a scenario on a grand scale and color it with BGM.
(4) Create an exhilarating action RPG with dots.
I'm a simple person.
I am a simple person, so I thought, "Let's make a game that combines all of these elements," and started thinking about the settings.
In the process of creating the game, I wanted to cut down on the redundant and difficult-to-learn button controls and simply enjoy the exhilarating experience of slashing, casting spells, and defeating enemies. We have repeatedly "added and subtracted".
At first, due to implementation conflicts, we planned to have only Wolff, the main character, as the operating character, and only NPCs as heroines.
I wanted to play with such a wonderful heroine drawn by Ms. Ogimbara.
I want to give users the same experience and have them become even more attached to the characters.
I talked with Mr. Kensei and asked him to implement the plan (thank you so much, Mr. Kensei...).

In our previous work, "Sexual Desire Angel," we focused on the characters, and we emphasized that we wanted to make it possible to view the H scenes of the characters as efficiently as possible.
It was practically our first game production, but we received high praise from many users.
In February 2021, when I thought about what to make next, I decided to increase the number of heroines

This week, July 6 (Thursday), "Victorians of the Gleaming Stars" is about to be released! This is the third installment of this corner, in which we will introduce the game by organizing information and approaching it from a systems perspective.
(For a sense of how it actually feels to play, please try the demo version!)
This time, we will talk about the system around H-scenes, which you have been waiting for.
First, let's start with the system that is not limited to H-scenes.
This is a key guide that appears in the upper left corner of the screen after a certain period of inactivity during an event. As written here, you can operate the message display by pressing the corresponding key.
Skip: Fast-forward the message as long as the key is pressed. Auto: Auto read forward of the message Window: Temporarily clear the message window Log: display of message log
*Config: Call up the configuration screen
After having covered most of the basics, we have also taken into account situations where you may want to change the volume settings or the environment around the H scene (to be described later), so that you can call up the config screen during an event. (Since configurations in TSUCOOL are basically done via the menu, it was inevitable that configurations could not be called during events where the menu could not be opened.)
Auto" is automatically calculated by "calculation based on the number of characters + waiting for playback completion if there is voice playback".
Window is a function that is often used to temporarily clear a window so that the standing picture or CG can be seen more clearly, but as a basic specification of the original game, the message window frame and background become transparent during H scenes so that only the text can be seen. Therefore, there are not many situations in which the picture cannot be seen because of the window.
Unfortunately, due to technical hurdles, Log does not currently support voice playback. (If only there was a plug-in that could do it...)
The key guide mentioned above can be hidden in the configuration, and the key display can be changed to "XB pad" or "PS pad" in addition to the PC keyboard. I can't go into details, but XB is the alphabetical one and PS is the graphic one. You get the idea.
Next, let's talk about the items that can be set from the config screen.
Many of the functions here are exclusive to H-scenes.
The BGM, SE, and voice (CV) channels that are related to H-scenes can be adjusted individually, and the female and male voices can be turned on and off separately. (By the way, Chris is judged to have a female voice. (By the way, Chris is judged as a female voice. It's a bit complicated, but I hope you can recognize whether the voice actor is a female or a male...)
The last item is a special option.
Hide HCG with effects
You may not see this option very often, but it hides CG and cross-sectional cut-ins in H scenes with a blur effect.
This option is not intended for any specific use, but is included on a trial basis in the hope that it will be useful in some way for your play. We can't guarantee that it won't cause problems, though we can say that direct expressions will probably be hidden. Please note that voices will be played normally and text will be displayed as usual.
Skipping H-scenes
This is a very drastic feature for an erotic game involving H-scenes. During the game, when you come to an H-scene, you will be asked if you want to skip it. If you choose to skip the scene, the title of the scene and a summary of its contents will be displayed in a message, and the game will jump to the end of the scene. If you do not skip a scene, you will be able to watch the scene as usual, so it is possible to leave the option on for now. The skipped scenes are also registered in the gallery mode, so you can read them again later. The creator of the game thought it would be fun to show the events that occurred along the time axis in the story, so we have prepared scenarios, etc., but we have included this feature in the hope that players will use it freely, taking their own environments into consideration.
Cross-sectional view
Cross-sectional views are now a common (?) feature. However, we have made it possible to hide the cross-sectional view because it is a matter of taste and so on. Some scenes do not have a cross-sectional view cut-in from the beginning.
Finish Meter
The meter indicates the number of messages before ejaculation in an H scene. This function is not included in the demo version and will be added in the official version.
It appears in the lower left corner of the screen. It is designed to be unobtrusive, but of course it can be hidden.
Again, these items can be changed during the H scene by calling the configurator, so please find a custom setting that you are comfortable with.
Finally, let's talk about the "gallery mode.
The mode itself is initially located on the title screen. (Of course, it is all locked.)
H-scenes that occur during the game are unlocked in this gallery.
As we may have mentioned before, the main story in this game is a single-ended story in which each heroine's individual episodes (including H-scenes) are collected as sub-stories, and since the flags of individual episodes do not close even right before the ending, you can collect all scenes without going around. However, even so, there may be times when you give up on the game due to the conditions for the episodes to occur... in normal play. In that case, we have prepared a last resort, so we hope you will not have to worry about that either.
Although there is a lot of work that has gone into the battle system in this game, we have also prepared as many functions and environments as possible around the H-scenes, as this is an erotic game in its own right. Each scene has been completed with CG, scenario, voice, and other powerful elements, so we hope you will look forward to it.
