In our previous updates, we discussed the Action System and provided insight into the "Ask" menu as well as how to acquire H-skill points for unlocking various actions in this system. Today, we want to shed light on another sub-menu that will be available in the upcoming demo-version called the "Touch" menu.
As the name suggests, this menu consists of a variety of choices involving interaction with Hana through touch. However, some options are less obvious than others.
One exciting feature is a special interaction called "Tease" which offers a range of small random actions such as slapping her butt or biting her ear gently. These actions not only allow you to enjoy your time with Hana but also raise her Lust stat, which is required for more complex interactions.
Another thrilling ability is chaining events together. For instance, using the "Ask" menu, you can ask Hana to show you her breasts then proceed touching them if you have unlocked this skill in the "Touch" menu and her lust is high enough. But it doesn't end there! You can further chain events by playing with her nipples or licking her breasts!
As you can see the "Touch" menu gives you an assortment of actions starting from wholesome ones such as “Caress Her Hair” and ending with very intimate ones such as stimulating her nether regions in various ways.
In the past, we introduced our romanceable girls - Hana, Ayano, and Kaho. But who exactly are you in the world of "Love Composition"? Let's find out by meeting the main character!
His default name is Seiya, but you have the freedom to choose any name you like for him. He is your avatar in the world of "Love♡Comp," and as such, you are in control of where he goes, whom he interacts with, and what he says.
When we initially started developing Love Composition about half a year ago, we aimed to make Seiya more or less a player's self-insert. His model would be an empty vessel, "a tool" for you to interact with the game. However, as the development progressed and we wrote more for the heroines, it became more apparent that we couldn't entirely make him a faceless character. While you decide where he goes and what he does or says, he has his own feelings, thoughts, and impact on the lives of the heroines.
Due to the increased necessity of Seiya having a physical appearance in the game, we began contemplating how he might look. We decided to maintain some traces of our initial concept, where he represented the player's self-representation, and opted to make him resemble a generic anime protagonist. The culmination of this decision was the following sketch:
We were amazed by how it came together, since it embodied the idea of an ordinary young man we were seeking, while still allowing for some "cool" connotations in his appearance. Ultimately, the design of the main character served as a valuable addition, enriching our heroines' stories. As summer approaches for some of you and winter for others, it's time for our usual “Progress Report” with some exciting news to warm your hearts and lift your spirits.
It's been over two months since our last progress update, and in that time, we at Kagami Works - a mighty game development team consisting of two people (and occasional helpers) - have been working tirelessly to make "Love Composition" a reality.
Our biggest breakthrough was completing not only the outline but the entire writing for Kaho, the side heroine. Her story turned out to be quite sizable and emotional, deserving of its own game. We're now in the final stages of editing, with numerous CGs sketched, but there's still more work to do, such as finishing the CGs, SD art, sprites, and putting everything into the game. However, with the biggest obstacle (the writing) behind us, we can safely say that Kaho's route is about 50% complete (with 100% being a finished game).
Another significant event was our discovery of new tools that allow for much better lighting and mapping than the initial tools provided by RPG Maker MZ. This will help us improve the game's visuals considerably. We'll provide more details in one of our next updates once we have more to show.

So, what's next?
Now that we've conquered the enormous task of writing Kaho's route, we're doubling down and focusing on Hana's first two affection levels (changed from 0-24, 25-49 to 0-19, 20-39 affection) and pushing for the playable demo.
We expect to release the demo for your enjoyment around the end of May or beginning of June.
What can you expect from the demo?
The prologue, Hana's first two affection levels (main story/affection events for the first level, conversation system for both, and action system for the second level), the beginning of Ayano's and Kaho's routes, a working system, and a base for exploration.
